Your video never leaves your device
The compressor on the home page is a WebAssembly build of FFmpeg that runs inside the browser tab. The file you pick is read from your own disk, held in the tab's memory while it is encoded, and handed back to you as a download. It is not uploaded, not copied to a server, not queued, and not processed anywhere except on your machine.
Because of that, there is nothing for us to store. No account is created, no email is asked for, no history of your files exists, and closing the tab destroys the working data — including the result, which is why you have to download it before you leave.
No account, no uploads, no history
- No sign-up, no login, no email address collected.
- No server-side processing of any file you choose.
- No record of filenames, sizes, or results kept between visits.
- The site does not write to your browser's local storage or set its own cookies.
Advertising and cookies
This site is supported by third-party display advertising. When an ad is served, the ad vendor may set cookies or read device identifiers in order to measure delivery and, where you have consented, to personalise the ads you see. Those cookies belong to the vendor, not to this site, and this site does not receive the personal data behind them.
You can block or clear them at any time in your browser settings, or use a content blocker. The compressor is entirely local and keeps working with advertising and third-party scripts blocked.
Server logs
The hosting provider records standard request logs — IP address, user agent, timestamp, requested path — for security and abuse prevention. Those logs are not used to build profiles of visitors and are not combined with anything else.
Analytics
This site runs no analytics of its own. If that changes, this page will say so before the change goes live.
Children
The site is a file utility with no accounts and no user-generated content, and it is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. The previous wording is not archived anywhere else.
